Game nights
Welcoming events for board games, trading cards, Dungeons & Dragons, Pokémon, and other shared interests where people can connect, have fun, and enjoy what they like.
A project of The Stay Network
Stay True Project encourages older kids and teens to keep making room for the hobbies, games, stories, and creative interests they genuinely enjoy.
Why true?
As kids get older, schedules get busier and interests can shift, but the things they enjoy can still be meaningful parts of their lives. Stay True Project is about encouraging young people to keep enjoying the hobbies, games, stories, and creative activities that bring them joy.
That could include Pokémon, trading cards, Dungeons & Dragons, board games, fantasy stories, art, books, comics, collectibles, creative writing, or other hobbies that help someone feel imaginative, connected, and true to themselves.
While the project is especially focused on older kids and teens, the message is welcoming to anyone — including adults — who wants to stay connected to the interests, stories, games, and creative activities they genuinely enjoy.
Early ideas
Welcoming events for board games, trading cards, Dungeons & Dragons, Pokémon, and other shared interests where people can connect, have fun, and enjoy what they like.
Family, teen, or all-ages gatherings that celebrate creative interests, fandoms, stories, and games.
Resources, conversations, and community partnerships that encourage young people to keep making time for interests that bring joy, creativity, and connection.
Possible event paths
Teen-focused game nights could support older kids and teens with clear supervision, parent communication, and a safe community setting.
Family or all-ages hobby nights could let adults participate alongside kids, making the project welcoming without losing its youth-centered purpose.
Adult community game nights could be a secondary option for people who want to reconnect with interests they enjoy or make more room for hobbies in everyday life.
